LEGON FASHION WEEK ,8TH-12TH OCTOBER 2012

Legon Fashion Week (LFW) is an annual convocation of experienced and upcoming fashion designers, legends and aspiring models and fashion brands from the textiles, make-up, and hair and clothing industry to inspire new ideas and sell brands.

LFW is geared towards bringing lovers of fashion to a one-stop-shop fashion extravaganza to buy and have fun. The event is powered by BeyondSoft Limited a result oriented company with the aim of providing unbeatable services in ICT Solutions, Business Support Services, Communication and Multimedia and Blueprint District, one of the fastest growing entertainment companies in Sub- Saharan Africa with expertise in Events Management, Artists (Talent)Management and PR.

LFW is a whole week’s event from the 8th to 12th of October, 2012, expected to reach over 10, 000 or more audience and will be characterized by various activities including:

EXHIBITION

 Exhibition starts from Monday 8th October to Sunday 14th October at the forecourt of Mensah Sarbah Hall, University of Ghana, Legon from 10am to 10pm each day.

FASHION SHOW

The Event organisers have attempted to come up with their very own Fashion 101 show which will seek to analyse today’s fashion trends and give relevant information to students about the dos and don’ts in today's fashion world. It will involve celebrities who will share with the student populace personal tales about their experiences in the fashion world. This is a fun show that's expected to generate a lot of humor as well as student interaction.   

SEMINARS

Two educative seminars are expected to be held during the week. There will be the “Models’ Lounge” and the “Fashion Sense Seminars” which will be hosted by our partner model agency and a fashion house which will express interest in this event.

FASHION SHOW EXTRAVAGANZA

The fashion show will be staged for models to showcase the handiworks of the various fashion designers, bead makers and shoe makers who will participate in this event. It will be a fashion festival full of glamour, glitz and music.

20 designers are expected to showcase their creativity and ingenuity. 10 will be experienced and well-known designers both from Ghana and abroad. 10 designers will be young and upcoming cloth designers who show promise through their hard work and innovations.

Jewellery makers and shoe makers will also showcase their fashion accessories, amazing shoes and jewellery.

The show is opened to every fashion designer, jewellery makers, shoe makers, fashion accessories and other fashion artistes.
