EVENT: Ghana Fashion And Design Week 2014




Ghana’s most innovative fashion business week event will bring life to the fashion scene in Accra, throwing light on an interesting line-up of Ghanaian and International designer entrepreneurs at the platform for commerce, alongside the event’s contemporary Trade Exhibition Pop-Pup salon.

The “must-attend” international event in its third edition year will once again welcome local and international audience, global press and media to witness the event that has successfully placed Ghana on the
global fashion week map, positioning the country in the top 5 most sought after fashion business weeks in Africa.

The event’s structured Business and Knowledge Transfer Seminars will play a key role in bringing business education and global industry knowledge to both aspiring and established creative entrepreneurs during the fashion week.

Ghana Fashion & Design Week is at the forefront of promoting Ghana’s fashion and creative business industry on the global stage, and has been instrumental in launching the businesses of talented designers through the platform’s activities, standing as a beacon for fashion industry development that continues to instigate positive interest for global trade.

With more exciting news on its way this year, GFDW Ethical Fashion & Sustainability platform - ETHIKHA™ will shine light on the works of social fashion entrepreneurs committed to improving the lives of society’s underprivileged, using fashion as a medium to drive skills development and create sustainability in fashion and related goods production in Ghana and across the globe.

GFDW is pleased to be in continuous partnership with Luxury fashion publication and globally renowned media company Vogue Italia in support of the platform development and activities. And, Ghanaian cosmetic Make-up brand - SO Aesthetic created by Sacha Okoh.
Also in continuous partnership this year is the Africa Daily Groupe media, and its founder professor Zandile Blay – who has been instrumental to the development of the GFDW educational seminars program.
